Feature Artist of the Week:

Micheline Hess is the creator of the highly-acclaimed Malice In Ovenland graphic novel series. The New York city native worked as a colorist for Milestone Comics before she decided to take the plunge and create comics of her own 5 years ago. Her love of comics began as a child when her father brought home comics for her after business trips. Unfortunately, there weren’t any comic characters in those pages that she could relate to, inspiring her to develop her own stories. In the last few years, Micheline has appeared at a number of festivals and panels including the Decatur Book Festival, and she’s had four pieces on display at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture. We are so proud to have Micheline join us for the 3rd Annual Khem comic Book Fest this year on March 18. For more info got to khemfest.com #khemfest #art#blackcomics #comics
